I don't know about this storm 8-12" for Vilas being downgraded now 2-4" & may pick up LES on backside. Saying models all over the place so starting to get that sinking feeling AGAIN. Light snow now but will need to bloom soon or 2-4"is all we will get with 1/2" now. Storm duration is thru Friday so still time if Lows phase. Anybody getting heavy snow?

I can't believe I got caught up in the hype...... Guess its a product of not riding yet. Unreal.

:(

Whitedust, we're booked for the end of Feb for Eagle River. I'm gonna fess up now how p'ssd of mom nature is at me and I predict 32+ temps while we're there. If mom nature cuts me some slack? We'll get together for a ride!

I'm fustrated as anybody but snow did pick up a bit now at a moderate clip but seems to ebb & flow needs to get plugged into moisture & dump. Temps also dropped so maybe we can get this turkey to fly. Very long narrow band of snow moving south to north so some will not get much if west of band. Going to hit the sack & hope for the best in the morning.:)

Good call for the waiting 'til morning! Ya never know what mom nature may bring! Am sick of the northwoods of WI getting hosed!

When we drove thru Presque Isle and Boulder on the way home, the trails looked better than some of what we had in the W UP. We just figured that was a less traffic issue?

We'll all be thinking SNOW!

The radar on my desktop is slowly showing more and more bands popping up, would definitely say wait till morning until we give up hope

Storm totals still looking like 6-10" at least in St. Germain through Friday morning- not sure about the 2-4" forecast?

Hopin for the best. Can't believe how up and down the predicted totals have been. The radar still not looking great.

Well in times like these..... everyone is rooting for themselves ! Maybe it dumps some down here. I have had that sinking feeling all year so far.

Why do we, including myself, keep believing these forecasts which never hold true? I saw something in another post which I'm going to start doing as come to think of it, it seems much more accurate: Take whatever is predicted for snow, divide it by 2 then subtract 1. So, if 12" is predicted we'll more than likely see 5"

Regarding my negative post above, I should keep my thoughts to myself until the storm is over. I'm just itching to ride as is everybody else.

Im thinking bust but hoping for the best.....1/2 inch in Boulder overnight...Maybe 3/4 of an inch if I really try to find a deep spot. Wakefield looks to have gotten 4-5 overnight. Hard to tell as it is drifting. In looking at the radar I just dont see it happening but Im not a weatherman. Will be at the Derby track most of the weekend anyway but was hoping to play tonight and tomorrow for awhile.

BUST-O-RAMA so far

Maybe 3" here in Lando' (8am) and flurrying intermittently. Not enough to even plow yet probably. Our advisory is open until 9am tomorrow morning though so we'll see.

(totally kidding here!!) SEE?? It's attitudes like YOURS that keep the snow away! If you hadn't been thinking negative thoughts, there would have been 10"!!! It's all YOUR fault we can't go riding!! :D

Here in SE lower MI the new map today puts me in 8-12 right on the edge of 12-24. Local weather says 2-4 total, currently raining. Something big will need to happen in order for this to pan out.
