Looks like any hope for our trails here in central Wisconsin to open this year is fading fast. Warm temps forecasted through mid Feb (per accuweather) has me giving up. What a bust of a winter. But now, if it's going to be warm it might as well stay warm. Although we will probably get three feet of snow and plenty of cold weather come March/April when we are all primed for nice spring weather...Rant over...

I can see the trail from my house and watched people riding on 2-3 inches of snert where there isn't mud, I haven't left the yard yet, worst winter ever!

im with you also. this sucks. i won't put the sled away yet but for all intents and purposes I think its pretty much over. 40 all week no snow and the beat goes on.....

I hate to be a stickler, but Appleton is not Central WI. Its East Central! :D Marshfield is Central as it gets-unless you go to Pittsville- the exact center. Yeah this totally sucks. Been telling my wife that if trails don't open by Valentine's Day it is over with. Last year Central WI had great snow until about February 20th. Then our trails shut down for the season. We had over 20" in December. This year we've probably received close to that, but every dang time it snows, it melts again!!! I can see a 16" dump about March 27th. Frikkin crap winter. Ready to give up this expensive pastime.

Songbirds singing in the Chicagoland this morning. The fat lady has song for this winter (in my opinion)! I think the ground hog will come out of its hole and will put sun tan lotion on his body this Feb 2.

I have just about had it also, I spent About $800 putting a new track on and rebuilding whole suspension, rode around yard and put about 1 mile on sled and theree they sit. Just aint worth it anymore. If they were not paid for , i would consider selling everything and giving up.

This will be the first year since we began grooming that we probably won't turn a wheel. This in extreme NW MN where it always snows. Very odd year. So much for all the long term forecasts back in Oct. Just about all of them called for a long, cold snowy winter. Oh, well. Planning to go to Cable area Feb 12. They say they have ridable snow. Hopefully it holds up until we get there.

It's Jan 31st , 50 degrees , snow killer is out, looks like March..... dog isn't even pulling her paw up doing the " fake " shiver ..... ???? She will normally try that in the summer ! Looks like the only way to ride is to drive for hours & hours and take massive time off of work. The 2-3 day weekend trip will not do it considering the distance we will have to travel to the snow.

Think about the snomo dealers they got to be sitting on huge inventories midwest & eastern USA!

Sleds, clothing and parts. Got to be a killer. Also this will screw up sales for next year. Guys that trade every year probably wont. Guys with older stuff (like me) didn't wear anything out so the old horse will easily go another year.

Yep got to think the pipeline is stuffed again so non current sled sales will kill the used market. Yam probably in best shape since have not been producing excess units for about 3 years & doo must be up to their ears in non currents since manufacture big numbers. AC should be ok with new platform sold well & poo somewhere in between. How many 13s do you produce is the killer question? Hope they do not force inventory up dealers butts or more will go out of biz.

30 degrees and sunny in Ironwood. Hopefully, this warm up in the 30's will stop and, cold and snow will return. I just told my wife that people who do not snowmobile or, ski probably think we are weird when we get outraged with lack of cold and snow up here !!!

I agree with all of the above. Watch for the snows to start right around Mid March through April followed by 8 weeks of slop.
