Packers and Seahawks, what do you think?

OK, so we're one game away from the Superbowl. We got a one-legged quarterback up against the best defense in football. Green Bay has some weapons but I'd feel a lot better if Aaron was able to run from the pocket. The Packers are a more than a touchdown underdog but "on any given Sunday..." anything can happen. Consider me Cautiously Optimistic for the game in Seattle.

Regardless of the outcome, it's been a great season to follow the Pack. I made my annual trek to Lambeau for the Carolina game and met Mark Murphy last summer at training camp. We have the best quarterback in the game, a good but not great defense and a stable front office. The future looks bright for the Green Bay Packers!

Lastly, I try to be a "glass is half full" kind a guy so if the Pack loses on Sunday I plan to devote my full attention to snowmobiling for the rest of the winter.

If the pack play a flawless no turnover game, they can win especially if they can get a turnover or 2. But if the turnover battle is a wash or they lose it, i think they are in trouble. Tuff environment with their best player limited. Good luck to pack, i dont have a horse in this race so hope its a good game.

I keep trying to tell myself "It's only a game",.... But look at all the other great quarterbacks and teams
of the past who never "make it back". It truly is sports History and any team only gets so many shots.
I hope the Pack pull out one of those "Holy Cow!" kind of games like they did on that run back at the end
of the 2010 season. Where the coaching staff and the players play like they were invincible!
I know I am dreaming,... but it would be cool.
Packers can't make any stupid mistakes. It's the nice long drives that end in punch out fumbles or field goals instead of touchdowns or 4th down pass interference calls that kills it for me.
Ahhhh,... professional entertainment!

It would be cool to see the "old school" underdogs in the superbowl though!

If I could predict football I would not be on this forum replying to your post. I would be snowmobiling all year (well maybe?) long! My prediction is a Green Bay win by 7 points. Rodgers can play- even with the injury. If not Matt Flynn will step in. Flynn has a personal adjenda with the Seahawks organization and things could get very interesting if he has the opporutinty to play.

I remember back in the early 90's when the Pack was starting to finally turn the corner and become a playoff contender.

We went to SF to play the vaunted 9ers' as about a TD underdog. They may have been the reigning SB champs. Can't remember. I remember reading all week how no one really gave us a chance and the pack was sick of hearing it. they weren't going to SF to play out the end of the season they said afterwards, they were going there to punch them in the face. they did just that got an early TO from criag newsome and won going away rather easily.

I have that same feeling about this team. They're sick and tired of hearing about how great Seattle's defense is, how tuff Lynch and Richard Sherman are, how loud they're stadium is, how gay their 12th man is ...blah blah blah.



if Rodgers can do what he did in the 2nd half last week (not the 1st half). If mc carthy sticks with lacy and pounds him for 4 quarters, not just the 1st drive... and if we can contain Russell Wilson from getting out of the pocket and make him throw to his pedestrian WR's who we can blanket the pack will win. Carolina racked up 368 yards on this defense and our offense is light years better.

The Seahawk defense has stepped it up late in the season. But they played the Cardinals and 49er's 4 of the last 6 games. Go Packers!

They will hit him hard a few times and might even get a penalty or two doing it but I predict he will not finish the game. Without Rodgers the Pack is very ordinary. Their defense will have no answer for Marshawn Lynch. That being said I hate the Seahawks and Richard Sherman. The way Brady is playing nobody is going to beat the Pats anyway. I can hardly wait until the Pats destroy the 'Hawks in the SB and Brady seeks out Sherman and says " YOU MAD, BRO?" A healthy Rodgers - maybe. An injured Rodgers no chance.

This is truly an oppurtunity for rodgers to go become a living legend. banged up and perform in an unreal way and will the team to victory. In a way michael jordan did in the flu game. Roster for roster the seahawks are a much better squad. But rodgers is the equilizer, lets see if he can rise to the occasion.

Realistically both the AFC and NFC Championships will be over at halftime. Unless they shoot up Rodgers before the game rather than at halftime of the Dallas game. If he performs superhumanly it will be because of drugs and not some higher power.

Right now, when healthy rodgers is the best QB in football. With the bad leg, brady or luck maybe better. Dont kid urself. U cant say that was a bad call when its the rule. The refs were simply doing there job. Plus i think GB likely wins even if dez scores that TD.

How did dallas make a bad call. Let ur best player make a play, if he wasnt reaching for endzone thats a catch. Makes sense that u quit watching football but are commenting on a football thread.
