Brother Lenny!

March is a much better time up der eh!
I (we) usually do the "run for fun" in Copper Harbor"
I couldn't make it this year (it is THIS upcoming weekend)
The 19th thru the 22nd. Fun event but has gotten pretty big.
Also pretty darn COLD every year.

I like the idea of LENNY FEST.

I'd like to make it if I could,...
If it worked out.

Are there other lodging options open in case it got
larger than what is available? (be neat to have it go yearly)
kinda a replacement for the ride-in? maybe at a smaller scale?
but VINTAGE? and maybe 50% go to LENFEST upkeep &kitty
50% charity or something? (just throwing it out there,..)

I too think it should be OLDer Leaf Spring type sleads.
Bring back the fun of da good old days.

Now you're thinking!

Awesome Lenny!

:)

right on big vin, I like the way you think. There is lots of lodging around my area but not sure if the free deal would be in place, probably not but yes there is more lodging close

Yeppers! I wasn't thinking free,... either should YOU! :)
UPKEEP bro!
LENNYFEST LIVES!!!!

was hoping there was places to lodge,.. so folks would not have to drive
too far. I am not too familiar with your town other than sledding thru it!
but if it had a hall or a place to have like sloppy joes and brats for like a
supper one night,.. an admission fee would cover that with trophies and stuff
(thinking down the road,...) (Lenny fest hats,.. condoms,...) you know,.. cool stuff!
:)

Lenny, there's a 71 Merc Lightning 398 listed on Facebook "Vintage Sled Buy-sell-trade" says it runs on spray $335.00 in Pulski, WI. Just FYI.

LENNYFEST: I like it. I’m sure we could get some stickers made up. It sounds like there could be some real sled variety.

Big Vin, we’ll miss you at the Copper Harbor Iron Man tomorrow. I’m sure you would have enjoyed it. Just pulled into Lac La Belle and my truck thermo read -15, with about a 25 mph wind. No hand warmers and an 8” windshield should make things interesting. Sure hope that 440 shows signs of life in the morning.

Lenny, as this event comes together let us know if we can bring anything to contribute. Put me on the list of people needing a bed…. Thanks!!!

Generally speaking most vintage shows are for sleds built before 1980, that being said Lenny, its your deal you make the rules

I would just like to call it a vintage gathering, where we hang out, ride the sleds, love the idea of stopping along the trail and cooking hot dogs. As far as a technical kinda event with prizes, classes, show sleds and all that,,,,that's a lot of work and knowledge I do not have.
I can 100% provide smooth trail, I'll groom the trail night before real late.

maybe if it has leaf spring it's vintage. A specific year can eliminate some early 80's leafers. Not sure when last leafer was produced?

Keep in mind when reserving a spot that I want to provide lodging for those involved in the event. If we don't fill up 14 spots than feel free to use the lodging for wives, kids friends,,,whatever, I don't care,,,, but in the beginning lets try an reserve for actual guys/gals involved in vintage gathering. Two of the beds are fold out couches.

So here is the list of those who are serious about attending:

1. Skiroule
2. Bradzoo
3. Garyl62,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe

5. mmalott

Add me (WisYooper) to the list - as long as the weekend in March is open on my calendar, I'll be there. Any thoughts on which weekend?

What you going to do about registration and trail permits? This is typically cover by 10$ donation to be part of an official registered relic ride. Just some thing to consider. Dont get caught without. Lind of expensive to cover for just one ride be legal.
