any feedback on the adjustable carbide would be appreciated---pro/con.
Really good idea not sure about replacement costs yet & aftermarket availability of replacement carbides.
When did you buy a SkiDoo?
when did you buy a skidoo?
When did you buy a SkiDoo?
2003 to be exact....lol...1998 bought 2 F3 700 & Grand touring 580... Doo makes great sleds, imo, like them a lot. A doo 150hp 4s would get very serious consideration & I was set up to test ride 2016 doos in Munising but didn't go when doo 150 4s did not happen. I have super good doo dealer near by that continously offers test rides on sleds of interest. I don't own them all at the same time but ride them all.
I owned one too......a 1984 Safari 377. Oooh baby that was a machine!
When did you drive a 1200 last? I drove a 15 Gade 1200 on Saturday. At one time I thought this sled might be a replacement for my OLD 2014. Nope, not anymore.
But it didn't have the adjustable carbides so I won't comment on the parts availability of the system. Seems like a good idea though.
I opened this thread thinking I would get some real feedback on the new Ski. Looks like two people need to take up Ice Fishing because they have nothing to do, and nothing to add worth while to this thread.
Now can we have some feedback from someone who actually owns a Doo with the new Ski.
You two can start a Engine thread somewhere else.

Snowgoer had a tech article that showed how to change them out, more involved then regular skegs but not too hard to do. They are an integral part of the ski though so they are part of the design.....and you essentially have to remove the ski to change them out.
Snowtech just reported there are only two sizes of carbide available (4" and either 6" or 8"?) and that dealer stocks were already low. They suggested buying a spare set now (before you need them and can't find them). Skidoo does have a patent so not sure what the aftermarket will do. If Skidoo is smart they'll keep the licensing costs low...
I hope this information qualifies as being related to the original thread....I do ride a Renegade Adrenaline but it doesn't have the fancy skegs (yet).
Oh please........you don't come here much do you?
Certain people here are experts in every brand because they've owned them in the past. What does it matter if it's a 2003 or a 2016? Some people are also experts when it comes to sales in certain European countries. Just ask a question about any sled.....you'll get an answer from peeps on this board.

If you don't think there's a difference or that it matters if it's a 2003 or a 2016, you're seriously delusional.
Even more delusional when no one took that position...lol...idk sometimes some are just looking to start a fight or can't read answers to the questions they asked.
