-20 here right now. Says it feels like -38 out. Wouldn't know for sure because i haven't been out but I'm guessing my outdoor activities today may be limited.

This is JUST what the lakes and swamps needed. Snow can start 1st of the year. Once the frost gets in the ground, the future snow will stay. Lakes needed thickening, and slush needed to dry up. Even with this week being COLD, I will bet some swampy areas will still be questionable.

We have never had better equipment or clothes. Not going to let a little chilly weather stop me. Going on a loop around the county this afternoon to get some miles on my new 'Winder. Should be about 140 miles. I didn't spend 15 grand to stay home if it gets a little crunchy out. Not that bad once a person gets going.

Gals on the noon news were saying things like "why do I live somewhere the air hurts my face?" and "husband had to start my car and I let it run for 10 minutes and I still froze..." LOL. Wimps. Left on sled from casino in watersmeet and the sign said -22. Bring it. I do however have a super tall windshield. Which has its own hazards...

Just got done with my little ride. 127 miles. 9 below. Really just the first time I have been out of my yard. Beautiful sunny day with just a little wind. The 30 to 100 on this thing is unreal. I put on Arctic Cat skis with a woodys 6 inch parallel duel carbide. No studs yet. Arctic uses a staggered carbide on the Thundercat version. I am just ditch running right now so it is not at all like running through the trails in Wisc. You can pull the front end up for field crossings at 80. There is that much midrange. Unreal. It feels a little heavy steering right now so I will crank up the tension on the center shock a little bit. It isn't that bad though. If I was 22 again I would put on Curves like all the FAST guys on TY. But I am an old fart now. I am sure these AC skis will be fine.
