I find it odd the new models are coming out and some don't have their 22's yet. I'm waiting on a 22 grand touring from Doo. If they release the 23 GT with Smart shox I don't want the 22 and will wait for the 23. Why buy the old model knowing you won't ride it till next year anyway and now newer technology is available?? makes no sense.

I would think they would have delayed their release until the 22's had been delivered. What do I know. Not a marketing guy.

If you order a 23' you may be here a year from now writing the same thing. Supply chain issues are not going to be solved in next 12 months it does not sound like.

That's ok as long as it will have smart shox. That upgrade is worth the wait. I have them on my Mach and love them. Game changer for me

Yeah that seems strange to be putting info out there on 23s when people are waiting for 22s.

Doo trying to get back to normal want as much time as possible to build 23s. Doesn’t make sense to hold up 23s limit time envelope to order and manufacture. Probably be additional smart shock models , new model to replace Mach Z then standardize and condense product line. Lots of BNG for all 3 OEMs.

Well they can make an exception to the rule for spring orders this year since their "fall deliveries" are happening the following winter/end of season. My 22 Grand touring arrived yesterday. Dealer called me and told me they are starting to put it together but it was delivered without the joystick you use to mess with your dash and phone. He told me he would swap out from another sled that wasn't sold already so I could have it. Told him to hold off until next monday at 1pm to see what changes 2023 will bring. I will not end up using the 2022 GT anyway so I can wait for the 23 to arrive. I could go either way but if there are changes (smart shox on GT) then I will wait for that next year and not buy the 2022. I would imagine there are many in that same situation.

It won’t hurt dealers to have some inventory. I agree smart shocks on the GT would be a big deal worth waiting.

I have a dumb question but anyone know why Doo doesn’t put any of the 4s in the mxz 129 chassis? That makes getting a 4s for my wife out of the question, she doesn’t like the 137. Talking 900t.

More power requires a longer track to put that power down.

One other thought is; where do you ride?
If you ride in the U.P. you need the 137 for the deeper lake effect snow for a bit more flotation.

Last thought is; the suspension was not likely customized on the 137 she rode as it should provide a pusher ride.

You can look for an Apex SE usually blue with air shocks mono was only 129 4s I know of. As said usually 137 and up to put broad 4s power band to the snow. They didn’t make many most wanted xtx 144 but I’m sure she would enjoy the eps with Snow Trackers. Imo air shocks were a pita. Call Kip get on the waiting list he’ll call you when a cherry comes thru.

While I agree with the 160+ HP being too much for the short tracks, don't they put the 850 on them? Those are in the 160 HP class engines too aren't they?

My first apex was the short track with the 4s motor and really felt it was too much HP for the shorter track. My next sled was the attak which had the longer track but same motor and was much better. I guess you could use an Ice ripper or stud the shorter track. Who knows but goofy you have a good question and have wondered that myself.

The ace 900 at one time was in 129, and as for power the 900t 130 hp is less power than 850 that comes in a 129. Wife rides etec 600 mxz and loves it. But with amount of miles we are putting on would like to look at 4s. But skidoo gave up on putting 4s in short track for now. Maybe big changes coming for 2023, I just have that feeling so maybe they will have gen5 900 MXZ and all will be good.

I agree. That is missing and would be great for those that want a 4s. My son rides an 850 and wow is the oil expensive!

Did yes it is , momma and I have gone through about 6-7 gallons so far, only thing I have found is hexco Motorsports in Oshkosh sells it in bulk at about 10 to 12 bucks a gallon cheaper that the skidoo bottles.
