there's a little place in Finland MN its right on the trail two gas stations and 2 bar$grills within 2 miles all accessible by snowmobile.Its called the maple grove motel and bait shop.Rooms are very small but clean i've stayed many times with my father.last year it was only sixty bucks a nite.Finland to grand marais via the N S S T is about ninety miles.Threres is also the moose walk trail loops near by.And its only about 45 50 miles up to Isabella.Most of your lodging options are down on the lake shore and i dought that their is any snow so you would have to trailer up to the NSST.and thats about 15 miles from the lake up to the hills.when you stay in Finland your already in the hills.Guide to Finland Minnesota
