I'm sure many would disagree with that! I told my wife today I need to adjust my mindset as I was trying to get some maintenance done on my ATV and wanted to get it done today but realized I have many days to work on it!

Had to stop and take a picture this morning of the sea smoke over the lake. Last drive to work for me. Now we just need a bunch of snow!

Nice to see our dog make it! We took that picture because we named him Bascom and that is in front of Bascom Hall.

I've always wondered why people only cut a 4' wide path through trees when they do that. We see that all the time on forest roads we ride. Same amount of cuts to cut a 8' or 10' gap.

I am retiring 1/2/26 and with vacations and holidays have 14 days left to actually work (some people would say I'm not really doing any work now and they are mostly correct.) Its funny about the commute, I have to remind myself every day not to kill the people who are driving slow and taking in...

Got this one driving in the other day. This is at Tettagouchee St Park where the Baptism River flows into Lake Superior.

We weren't able to see them on the 11th due to cloud cover but luckily they were back out on the 12th also. The first pic looks like an angel!

Driving by Split Rock yesterday on my way home and there was cars lining the roads in the park, cars parked in Silver Bay and taking shuttles down there. Lots of people there.

Nick is one of the guys we camp with at Hay Days each year. While he wasn't camping this year with us he did stop by Saturday night and we spent quite a bit of time talking. Such a good guy, he'll be missed.

So for this year I'm still running my 21 850 SKS but added a 24 850 Khaos 155 for the deep days. We are also spending 2/15-3/15 split between Island Park and Seeley Lake this winter. For most of my MN riding my SKS is the perfect sled. For the deep days and out west the Khaos will come out.

We'll be in NYC next weekend visiting our daughter. Even though we don't drive into the Manhattan area where she lives, just driving around the periphery is crazy. Going to go up into the Catskills for a long weekend and then back into the city for a night.
