I’ve been doing many hours of trail clearing, sign fixing, etc…. I certainly did not mean to upset you. It’s just “strange” to me that all but a few areas of the Co are ready for this most likely last weekend of the year.

Just checked in in Bloomington, IL. Minimal traffic issues. Lots of snow birds heading north after leaving at month end. I would travel this route again on Saturday or Sunday. Never again during week day rush hour traffic. Next year we’re flying and renting a car.

55 degrees F is typical ground temperature from below. The frost is melting from below in conditions like this. We need sub zero to keep it pushed down.

Yep, the ground is frozen deep, maybe 24” - 36”, we’ll let our construction folks answer that. Below the frost line (24” - 36”), it’s 55 degrees F. Which means it’s thawing from above and below when outdoor air temperatures are above 32 degrees F.
