Treis, hey there fellow Warrior, welcome to the John Dee forums. It's addictive and there is a lot of information to be found. I see that you're heading up towards Iron River, Mi next week. I've done alot of reseach on conditions in that area (and south) as I was suppose to go this week. It looks like they have nice conditions with a few marginal areas as there is less traffic there unlike Gogebic, Mass City, Houghton, etc... Everyone seems to head to those areas as there is more snow and of course very popular anyway. We changed our departure for Tuesday of next week (2/21) and will probably go just south of there in Long Lake or Hiles. Good luck with your search and maybe we'll meet locally on the trail.
