Attended the Presque Isle/Winchester SnoBunnies trailside party/fundraiser yesterday at Lynx Lake Lodge.......by means of my truck. Talking with some of the club members, our president brought out a sheet of trail openings since 1987. Latest opening/start of grooming was 2002-2003 season where we did not start until January 27th. Thats only 6 days away and I don't see that stat being the latest anymore. Sad. Anyone out there with stats/memories from your clubs or counties?

Let’s hope this isn’t the new norm can’t plan anything in the Northwoods and hold your group together. People have other responsibilities to keep and getting towards February where Solar angles start the burn thru. Light out after 5pm now on a sunny day holy crap where did this season go!

The long range forecast does not look good up here, precipitation will be ice/rain if we get any. Showing mid to high 30’s with a 40 10 days out! Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it’s true, hopefully they are wrong?

We're in East-Central Wisconsin, alongside of Lake Winnebago. We've had a couple of years where the trails didn't open and a couple more where they only opened for a week or so. We're not known for lots of snow and cold except for this year. I came home yesterday with some frostbite from riding some great trails in single digit temps!

Let's face it, 2024 is starting out to be "wacked" for weather and just about everything else!

I actually remember that but it seemed like Iron county had snow. I remember Adams videos from Skyview. He was so ahead of the time.
