It’s amazing, check out Ooni pizza ovens. I have the Ooni Karu 16, wood one, no gas attachment for me. Temp is perfect, lower temp longer cooks that’s all. I also use a pizza stone on my weber grill but like the Ooni much better. Everything cooks perfect every time. Some meats u cook first. The oven plus attachments i,d guess I have a grand into it. Worth every penny to me. I’d rather make it than buy it. Just like brisket or pulled pork, I make it myself, making a crust is the fun part

want to share your crust recipe? I also make my own, but I find different ways to make crust affect results using the same ingredients. My current recipe is 1 tsp yeast, stir into 1 cup warm water, then stir in 1 tsp sugar. wait 5-10 minutes, then stir in 2 tbs olive oil, add Italian seasoning, a bit of salt, then 2 1/4 cups regular flower stir, let sit in refrigerator covered with saran wrap overnight. punch ball down the next morning, re-cover with saran wrap, then by that evening, cover outside of dough ball with more olive oil, then roll out dough. I also like to use a bit of corn meal when the dough ball is rolled out but my wife hates the corn meal

I use the Ooni recipe from my “cooking with fire” book from Ooni. I get about 4 dough balls from this, Ooni also sells a box kit w the ingredients and u just make it. Also some frozen dough balls work decent too.
Here is what I use

I have ruined soo many crusts it’s not funny. For a while I’d make some but also thaw a frozen ball to have it ready in case. I’m getting better but still use the periodic frozen dough ball and even buy some fresh made crusts from local pizza joints. More messing around than anything
