WY trip report

Just returned from Crooked Creek guest ranch near Dubois WY. Snow was excellent, bottomless in areas, and we had a great time. Our guide and others said it was a little weird as the last storms it blew so hard that the upper elevations had the snow blown off and it was down in the valleys and drainages. Nice pics!! HOLY SNOW!!! Thats cool with thew moose, must be somewhat used to people, I've heard they can get aggressive.

Beautiful pics elf! However, I see way too much hard work getting unstuck for this worn out beat up old guy. Now back 20 years ago, we were hard at it!

Its funny as I'm closer to 60 than 50 now and I make different choices in spots. Digging out sleds in bottomless snow at 9500+ feet is hard work. The funny part is as I make different choices some of the people I ride with don't so I still have to go in and dig them out. But its still worth it when you get the opportunity to just carve through a meadow or pull skis for a couple hundred yards on a long climb or make some great moves on a technical climb up through a drainage. So I feel I still have some more trips in front of me with the crew.
