This corn maze is about a mile from where I work, the farmer is a customer of ours and he was telling me about it. With the newer technology in the planter they just program the design into it and the planter does the rest. Farming is really getting high tech

Pretty cool.
Those programs aren't even that expensive.
Makes the ol crop circles look like rookie stuff.

Buddies kid did a map program on about twenty acres using fall tillage equipment. He wrote out "Marry Me" on corn stubble. From the ground, the field looked like patchwork tilling. He brought her out to the field so he could demonstrate a new drone. She didn't have a clue until it was on the screen.

I joked that he waited until fall instead of planting the words just in case she said no. ;)

I used to work for a survey company and it was right one GPS surveying was starting to take over early 2000s. We had a job that was in a rural area and we were talking to one of the farmers the one day he was telling us how they could do the exact same thing. Show us with their GPS, how they could plan for what areas of the field would receive the most water etc and know exactly what their yields would be before even planning... All of that while basically just hitting a button in the cab of the tractor and telling it to do its thing... He said he could basically just sit there and monitor it...
