I have Uclear, I've been happy with how that work but frustrated with the user interface... The app on the phone is just ok, and does not assist in the pairing process.

A friend has Cardo and it is very user friendly! The app seems very good too and will help in the pairing process. LJE products is releasing a adaptor that will power the unit from your heated shield port. So you never have to worry about the battery not lasting. ( I have only had my battery drained one time when paired incorrectly and we were constantly getting and clicking on and off like someone was trying to start talking. This was when paring my Uclear with the Cardo unit. Once we did it the right way we have not had an issue.) Unlimited power is still really nice...

Sena is now offering and app called WAVE Intercom. I have not look into everything yet but sounds like it cold be compatible with other brands and give you unlimited range as link as you have internet available.

Thumbs up, thumbs down and middle fingers usually communicate pretty well. Just kidding, I'm following this thread, our group has tried a few different ones in the past, and nothing really seemed to justify the hassle of them not working or the batteries freezing up. Not to mention, we all have some sort of modular helmet where we can talk without removing the entire helmet at stops, so I'm interested to see what's working for everyone.

I will say the Uclear and Cardo if you not needing to pair new units regularly you only have to pair them once. After that it is just hit one button and it remembers the group from before even if one person is not there and the next time you are together it is the same easy one button connection. I'm told this should work between brands but I have not been able to try it because it seems like I ride with to many different people and I keep starting over. and cant get them all together to set it once and just leave it alone. lol

In past we also had issues with communicating at speed, like the sleds were creating more interference or something (didn't seem like helmet wind noise or engine noise). What's your experience been? I've got the new G8 with group ride, but I'm the only one in the group that has it, so no chance of trying that out lol.
