Think I’m planning to go up next weekend. Funny, it’s 20F and snowing here in Kaukauna right now. Crazy what a difference a week makes.

You are correct Paul you wouldn't of guessed it was in the upper 40's last weekend. The new snow pretty much erased that. Trails are a little more icy but and some of the roads are thin now. I keep seeing people asking how are the roads. Once you get to late February into March you should start to expect roads to get thin. Yesterday trails were pretty darn good. A few thin spots where the snow melted away. A few pictures from the ride from St.Germain to Lake Tomahawk with the little one. We were under a winter weather advisory for 1-3" today. Started snowing around 11am and we ended up with a little over 2", if you add up each day since last Tuesday we have at least 8-10" of new snow so as you can imaging trails are in great shape once again. One warm day coming on Friday at 44 and then cold for awhile, looks to warm again around 3/6 with full sun but that is a ways off. Getting to that time of year where you never know what is next for weather but I'm seeing a lot of 30's and 40's after 3/6. Just saying.......

Seeing the same as you but I have definitely taken a wait and see approach with the weather. Seems like the weather guessers are more wrong than they have ever been. With that being said we are getting ready into bonus season, anything after the 1st is a nice bonus.

Totally agree with your Hermie on bonus riding after 3/1. This would be the year that you could still ride out in the woods until late March though.

Done a lot of riding in the UP the last few seasons because on no snow in WI. Nothing against the UP but I have missed riding in WI over the last couple seasons. I hope we can squeak out a couple more good weekends without having to go so far.

Well.......If you didn't get a chance to come ride in Vilas this weekend, it might have been your last chance unless you will be here Monday-Wednesday. Temps in the 40's with rain next weekend signal and end to the season unless the forecast is wrong and we get snow. It's been a great season with loads of snow and great riding. Hat's off to all the clubs, the bars and restaurants, and everyone who helps with the industry. there will be snow around for awhile but getting to it will be difficult, the sun is high in the sky and really has some burn through power, the UP may be an option but the 10 day forecast looks warm.

I would have to agree with pending some big weather change this is it. Some trails are still amazing while some trails have a ice base with a couple of inches of snow. The trails with the couple of inches on them will be pure ice by next weekend. It has been a really good season would of loved to see it make it to mid March but that's not going to be the case. No complaints ride Every weekend from 2nd week before Christmas. The first weekend was to brush but still were out. Guessing bushed about 40 miles this years. We are out enjoying our last Sunday of riding in Vilas most likely. Eating a little lunch at a snowmobile staple, Stillwater's. A couple of pictures one of Boboen the other Boulder. Nice Hermie, I might go on Monday but I'm doing drywall and lighting in the Upper level of my garage right now. Great winter season! good to see lots of snow and decent cold weather to support the snowmobiles and winter sports enthusiasts after the last two years.

Trails still pretty good as of Monday 3/2. I had to run over to Boulder Junction and they looked good obviously from the road so I can assume they were good in the woods, probably a little icy from last Fridays warm up. Cloudy and 44 today, sunny and 50 for Wednesday, looks like a good dose of rain on Friday so we'll see what it looks like after that.

Iron and Vilas still open as of this morning, It's 36 this morning at 6:30am, never got below freezing last night. In my opinion it's over for this season, supposed to rain today and Saturday, that will really melt the snow.

Marinette closed for the season yesterday, I think. Not sure how much rain we're going to get but it won't be pretty. I agree, Wi is probably over. I'm hoping to go one more time, prob Western UP but we'll see how they hold up.

Was definitely a good run for the sport as a whole, riders, establishments and manufacturers alike, hopefully will repeat itself again, again and again!!

The western UP will see some rain as well tonight into part of Saturday. We still have a lot of snow, the issue with it now is the warmer days & cooler nights which makes a lot of ice where it doesn't belong & the base is like a brick until it warms a bit.
