Do you rely more on one than the other? Does reliance on surface observations become more important when forecasting for that day's weather, than using models?

It was an awesome snow year. A couple of the pics are of 2' of fresh powder in the Skyline Ridge area...we busted the trail open and played all day in the deep snow. It was absolutely awesome!
