Looking for a decent camera to take pictures with when it's cold out. Any suggestions?

My nephew rides a 95 jag 340 and it never fails that with in 10 miles down the trail the sled quits. It seems like it vapor locks. After letting it sit for about ten miunetes, it will fire right back up and go a while then lock up again. any Ideas on how to fix? Thanks.
