So Where Do We Go From Here?

Selfishly I hope it can continue. There's a tone on this board different than most others, and it doesn't have the keyboard warriors for the most part either. Members have always been quick offer advice and help solve issues and just share their stories. And there's some good natured...

    John Dee

Thanks to those of you who knew him well that are leaving comments. As someone that didn’t know him personally but followed him for decades on here I was always impressed by his positivity even with all the health issues. I’ve been reading comments on here today. I feel so awful for the loss his...

So sorry to hear this. I don't have words. Met him once, been on this site since about the beginning, but I feel like I know him anyway. Prayers for his wife and daughter and family and friends.

Finally some real EV/Truck stats and...... WOW!!!

Agree hybrids should be the future. EVs have too many drawbacks.

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

We haven't had issues with the fuel door and we're traveling together so it's not hard to be on the same gas cycle. If we didn't have fuel doors we'd probably just carry some 5 gallon gas cans and fill those initially instead. If I was buying another trailer it wouldn't be a deal breaker either...

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

We fill the sleds up in the trailer on the way up every trip, just so we don't have to worry about it once we get out the first day. With 3 guys/sleds it goes pretty quick - one in the truck, one at the pump and one in the trailer, and we do it when we're filling the truck up anyway. Other...

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

Nice. Might just be the picture but it looks like the fuel doors are bigger than normal. I thought it would be useful to make them a bit larger on ours.

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

Good point. I saw them sitting outside at trackside this summer even. In the winter you're more likely to see them parked 3 wide taking a break in the middle of a turn :ROFLMAO:

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

That sled or at least that engine is what I'm thinking about for the next one. Will be at least one more year. Good work finding one. Seems like there aren't that many of them out there compared to the 850's.

    John Dee's Seasonal Forecast

A bit depressing but we always trailer to the snow. Might have to be more flexible on dates or how far we travel. Probably wouldn't count on great late seasons conditions like the past 2 winters. I predict a lot of climate change hand ringing for sure!

Wakefield access in question this winter.

Is no one in the community speaking up? Businesses will be impacted.

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

Yes, will definitely be out with the kids too. Usually once a year. Hopefully twice this year. Although I need to step up and get another machine for them...

What Will You Be Riding This Winter?

Had that conversation with a couple guys in a bar in Iron River, WI, last year. I was riding and will be riding again this year my 18 ZR 600. Now is closing in on 8K. Other guys had the latest and greatest Doos - I'm sure they're great sleds - anyway they were surprised we put so many miles on...

So.......I started a project, My new Garage!

It's incredible to me to be doing a project like this and staying on schedule. I could do neither :)

Finally some real EV/Truck stats and...... WOW!!!

I agree 100% with that. They are clear in their views that climate change is the biggest bogeyman we face right now, more than Russia or China or even Trump. The gas market didn't take the government mandates or subsidies to get off the ground. Sure they get accelerated depreciation but that's...

where was this for the last 5 months?

That's great. I don't have the photo handy, but my Dad bought my 3 brothers and me an 84 Bravo for Christmas. We have a picture of all 4 of us sitting on it on Christmas day in shorts and t-shirts. I don't think there's any doubt the snow cover isn't what it was on average in the glory years...

where was this for the last 5 months?

With a strong el nino "they" are predicting a very poor winter. The plus side is I'm due for a new sled so maybe some deals will be out there. Canada is going to fix all this though as the leadership is calling for a significantly increased carbon tax

where was this for the last 5 months?

Yes and those years are what people think of as "normal"

    Same as it's always been.

    For all you Cat guys

Textron farmed out Cats gear (another great move but anyway). The arrangement didn't work out so they are taking it back in house. What you see there is powertec or whatever its called liquidating their inventory. Cat's new gear should be out soon.
