Yes we certainly took advantage of trails within 100 miles of Vilas and Florence. I thought east was the best less traveled trails very pretty area but had to wait for the snow to build up to ride.

The Black Hills in Vilas have to be 10 plus feet tall probably 3 foot when planted. I watered those with well water and hose in July and August when it was dry wasn’t a big deal up there up there with cool nights. We wait soooo long for a good base and grooming and then a brief Spring warm up and it’s over. No surprise to me since lived there for 16 years but it will be below freezing at night until June. Most don’t realize how cold it is in Vilas sometimes summer is July. Lol. 😜
