    Your Pre-Season Checklist

When you think about it, our trailers are out there in the worst of conditions. Salt, sand, road crud, slush & cold. It's a wonder they last as long as they do. A little TLC can mean the difference.

    Four stroke oil change

I might have come across too harsh for those that make a living fitting square pegs in round holes. Society would look drastically different without the apptitude of our engineers. For us weekend mechanics, we may question as to why you put the little thing under the big thing and why the left...

    Four stroke oil change

Unfortunately, most engineering doesn't give two :poop::poop: about the after market maintenance. I've always changed my own oil in all things except for my current pickup. Whereby the Oil Filter is behind the front left wheel and behind a flexible curtain attached with push pins. But before you...

    Your Pre-Season Checklist

It's time again for some thought into the upcoming snowmobile season. We all want our machines and trailers to be ready when we are so let's share some thoughts and suggestions. I'll be riding my 4 Stroke Blizzard again this year and there's very little start-up maintenance required. Two or...

    Well, Now You Know....

We're all familiar with the Budweiser Clydsdales and to a lesser extent, the Dalmation on each wagon. The present day purpose of the Budweiser Dalmatian is to serve as a companion and mascot for the Budweiser Clydesdales, a tradition that began in 1950. Originally, Dalmatians ran alongside...

track grips on trailer gate for loading

I'd recommend the Caliber products. They have pretty much everything for traction, guidance, etc. https://www.caliberproductsinc.com/product-category/snowmobile-trailer-accessories/

    Winter Weather Forecast

Created by NOAA's Climate Prediction Center, the latest outlook anticipates warmer-than-average temperatures for much of the contiguous U.S., although southern states will most likely experience a drier and warmer winter than usual. Conditions in northern states are expected to be cooler and wetter.

Chaparral vs John Deere: A Build-Off Challenge

Looks like Mezz wins the six pack of Hamms. You know, if a guy kept his garage door closed, these things wouldn't keep following him home!

    Time for a New Helmet?

I have a pair of Mods of recent years, so I'm good. Our helmets for the Spyder are another story. The liners are delaminating so we'll replace those in the spring. A lot of people simply upgrade for the new features.

    Time for a New Helmet?

Most manufacturers recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years. Assuming yours has never been needed to save your noggin in an accident, what say you? Johnny Skeptical says.... Just a few scratches here and there. It finally fits just perfect. They're just trying to sell more helmets.

Yeah, they must've had a heck of nice camera for that kind of definition back then. Oh, and someone asked me how I managed to hit a tree with that Olympic. Well, I was about the same age as the boy in the picture and as I recall the Ski Doo's back then liked to go straight..;..turning was open...

    North Shore traffic jam

You're not alone if that's any consolation. When 80,000 Packer and Lions fans left Lambeau after the game, it took us 90 minutes to cover 40 miles home. I'm just thankful that I don't have to fight it every day like some do.

    Mower leaving lines advice

Well, sheep might be a better choice. They eat the grass and then you can sheer their wool. Nobody wants to wear a "Goat Coat". :giggle:

I didn't want to hijack Skiroule's thread as he mentioned the possibility of towing an Ice Shanty or load of wood with a wide track. This spurred a memory and photo of mine from years ago when our neighbors had a 12/3 Ski Doo Olympic. The picture shows them about to tow a load of wood with that...
