    Need Yamaha Help

If BOP can't help you and it is a shock rebuild, start a new post here looking for places. In the past several JD members have mentioned rebuilding shocks and can answer the real question of if they can be. In the meantime I will ask my riding buddy. He tears each of his machines down between...

    Rollover I-75 Southbound Gaylord Exit

I admit they have the torque but after 20 years of my tow vehicle out weighting the trailer it is noticeable. The single biggest difference is the truck nose with a diesel really plants the tow vehicle. For the 3-4 trips a year I agree the 1/2 ton maybe less overall costs. My wife loved the...

    I've Wondered About This....

Did you all know that Howard Schultz went to Northern Michigan Uni in Marquette? Went to Seattle in 1981(?) to work at Starbucks and created the whole gotta have a moca lotta grande coffee craze that has captured the world. My story isn’t so colorful 😁

    I've Wondered About This....

I hear you. 5 years into retirement and I noticed my lunch sack is still in the cupboard. Could never justify the cost of eating out.

    Need Yamaha Help

Contact Barn of Parts in Pennsylvania. They specialize in yamaha salvage/parts. Extremely knowledgable in all things yamaha sleds. Case in point, I had a Viper but the clutch engaged at 5,000 rpm. They sent me a clutch spring for a early Vector and then my clutch engaged closer to 3,000 rpm.

    Water filter

If you are in Wisconsin look up the local “dairy producer’s co-op”, they run tests for a fraction of the cost and give you the kit.

    Rollover I-75 Southbound Gaylord Exit

With a 28’ trailer I would definitely stick with the 3/4. I rarely ever had a issue with a 23’ behind my F350. Funnest thing was I downsized to a two place hybrid trailer and it felt like a parachute behind me, dumped that trailer.

    Rollover I-75 Southbound Gaylord Exit

After 20 years of towing with diesels I couldn’t believe how much my two place trailer owned my newer F150. Then I got the truck weighted and it is 60% of a Super Duty.

    Water filter

Get the well tested for what is in the water. When we bought a home in WI it had been unused for 9 months. The well was heavy with iron bacteria that required we flush the complete system with bleach/chlorine every 6 months. On my RV the system can be subject to mold in the system unless flushed...

stay on your side of the trail

If I may offer a counter argument, I am in the back of my group and the snow dust is crazy. Generally I hold back far enough it has settled down. What I have heard from others is these led’s pierce the dust so they know there is another sled after hitting my group in front. At night they are...

Last week we based out of Munising (close to Buckhorn). Sunday, down 7 to Big Springs(good) back up Haywire (moguls). Monday, 8, 43, 9 to Wolf (got beat up, little grooming outside of AlgerSorva- but it was after a big traffic weekend). Tuesday, Big Bay (417, 8, 14, 5, all good to great)...

    Gwinn - Ishpeming - Republic

I was there late last week. All good but the logging after Gwinn towards 5 seemed to last several miles. We had to wait while a truck loaded up on the trail/road as there was little room to pass. 8 Ishpeming to Marquette got a little choppy while Marquette to Gwinn was good.

    Eastern UP help

So far. 7 down to Big Springs good. 2 okay. Haywire got rumbly. 8 by end of day was used. High traffic this past weekend. Today was 8 east to 43, 88, 431, 9 . Some good and some rumbles. I feel it tonight. I am hoping the groomers will hit all the trails in the next day especially with the...

    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

Mine is rated for 5k towing. Based on people’s comments pulling Airstream trailers out west it appears EVs take a 50% decrease in range towing. Factors like hills, a/c, heat, ambient temps all make a difference. The only towing mine will see is moving the trailer in the yard if I am too lazy to...
