    Electric vehicle

Mine is a BEV and have had it 1 1/2 years. TL provided some insights all true. We live outside of a larger rural town with allot of hills. Going in town I can cycle regenerative braking to charge the batteries a little, coming home uphill. My home electric cost is a blended 16 cents a kwh and if...

Trailers - Good news / Bad News

Southside Auto in Indian River is a stand up dealer. Small inventory but can get you what you want. The owner of Beck’s & Legend are good friends of the dealership and has a cottage close by. The wife and husband will sometimes pull a trailer and drop it off for delivery when driving by.

    Survey Land costs?

I had to provide a plat survey with the rendering of my proposed pole barn 4 years ago in northern lower MI. For the 2 1/2 acre lot it ran $1,100 and he used gps based technology. Lucky for me he found the original (1945) concrete monuments under 6” of soil at the exact locations by gps!

    Going Places...

I forgot to add, bring back the dash vents! Those vents you pull a knob and the dash side vent blows as fast as you are driving.. If you remember those, can you still smell the dust they would let loose if you drove over gravel roads 😉

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

Slow, ice, slow, ice. I personally feel my wife gave up on the ice machine too quick and went to ice packs wrapped in towels so she wasn’t so cold. Once my nerve block went off from my rotator cuff surgery it felt cold but once it got numb, awesome. I now race to get my docks in just after the...

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

Glad your procedure went well! Ice ice and then ice. We have a ice machine for my former rotator cuff surgery that I bought the knee wrap for the wife, she complained it was “too cold”. Wife still has allot of pain 8 months later but I reiterate she used a “trauma“ surgeon. Since she has not...

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

Little follow up to my prior post. My wife me informed her surgeon is considered a “trauma surgeon”. Well let me speculate that he went in like a bull in a china shop. Now it all makes. Besides referrals from satisfied patients, go with someone that has done this all the time. You know you are...

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

What Gary said. My wife waited way too long in my opinion, bone on bone on both for decades. She had the first one done last September and is still in discomfort. What I think is causing her pain is twofold, her surgeon said it was a total mess when he went in. Secondly, she has power walked...

    Michigan dnr adding new trails

The “purchase” was only easements rights and not the property thus avoiding some future issues like eastern UP experienced on trail 2 this year where new property owners needed to be addressed. I suspect these will continue to be logged over years.

    Outdoor camera

A buddy I know has cameras from WYSE. No need for subscription, relatively cheap, notifies you and captures and tracks objects (including shooting stars). I do believe these are battery operated with a option to wire some. My system is hard wired and very old so no help there.

    Something to Think About

I think you have to segment it by industry. Auto taking the approach of “spec” your vehicle I suspect because they built massive inventories before shutting down. You spec what you want and they finally get a chip and move it through the parking lot of vehicles sitting and set for delivery once...

    Water filter

Copper/brass connections along with line. The line was ok but the connections went and the older frig had a metal fitting also.

    Water filter

I think you are correct. I learned this as we plumbed it into our frig water and corroded all the metal fittings in short order.
