    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

I have a Charge Point home charger. It is wireless and app driven so it keeps all that in the history by month.

    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

For what it is worth my F150 & EV were within $10k msrp. My Michigan no fault insurance is roughly 40% for the EV. I can only speculate the difference is related to american top selling vehicle (parts availability) vs German. My concerns are for passengers and EMS safety with batteries. Has...

    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

Not disagreeing with your points. My EV does look like a regular auto which is what I want. Sadly they have a “sound” device that puts out a spaceship sound to protect pedestrians from not knowing a car is nearby. Audi actually pumped sound into the cab on my former Q7 diesel because you could...

    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

You will pay. Some places are free and usually they are no better than a house outlet, maybe replace a couple miles for an hour of charging. Some Tesla’s have free nationwide charging at a Tesla charger. I opened a app and looked around at my local chargers. One showed a 65kw charge and the...

    Reserving a Lightening tonight.

Thought I would revisit this post as we seem to be talking autos on the Electric Snowmobile post and that just isn’t fair to the original poster. One year results on my EV ownership as of this week. Here are some numbers to consider. Distance driven = 4,264 miles Kwh consumed = 1,986kwh Home...

    Electric Snowmobile

Battery packs can/should have individual cells that you replace the bad cell and not the complete battery pack. Some manufacturers cars can not replace a cell. I know my Audi and I believe Tesla can replace cells whereas the Bolt is complete battery pack. Used values are insane just like...

    Electric Snowmobile

Go to youtube and there is a guy in Norway or Finland that had to have the whole battery pack on a 2013 Telsa replaced, $22k. He had the car blowup with dynamite.

    Electric Snowmobile

Level 1 charging: ~14 hours Level 2 charging: ~3 hours Level 3 charging: ~30 minutes Level 1 is an standard home outlet. Level 2 is a 240v 50amp plug ( my home charger is level 2). Level 3 would be commercial. The current sled is estimated at 20~25kwh. My EV is 95kwh with a claimed range in...

Just saying hi - been a while

Welcome back! How is your father down in Illinois doing? As I recall he had an altercation with a thug a couple years ago. Thank you for all your support of the trails in the area.

    Eastern UP help

So I am unfamiliar with anything west of Republic and trail 5. For fuel Republic is unreliable. There is a small town 3 miles south on roads to a Ace or Tru Value that has fuel. Otherwise north of Republic towards 8 no more than 20 miles there will be fuel options. If you take 5 to 32 to Gwinn...

Did the EV auto thread go away with the new Website? I was hoping to post my now 1 year costs for those interested.

    Closed helmets and prescription glasses.

Retired my mod 2 2 years ago as the foam wore out and duct tape wrapped in screen spline just wasn’t helping 13 years was a good run!) Picked up a mod 3 and it works fine. Vivity are the ones I put on order.

    Closed helmets and prescription glasses.

Intrigued! I have surgery scheduled for the end of the month and decided on the very expensive newer multifocal (astig correction lens). To the OP, I have been using the Brp Mod helmets since 2006. Works great getting glasses on and off and isolating mask. In severe cold the outlets can ice up.

    Klim or Castle heated gloves

Draws 0.7amp (I suspect on “high” it has that draw but I have never put it above 1/2). Never had an issue with 3 sleds and 10 years. Just replaced my 10 battery on the back up sled as it was a 10 year old battery and it could struggle to start my four stroke.

    Klim or Castle heated gloves

Are we talking “First Gear”? I have had my First Gear glove liners for 10 years now and do not ride without. In this time I have worn out gloves, but not the liners… Battery gloves will be trash once the glove part wears. 12v glove liners (look at motorcycle stores for them) should outlast...
