    Boulder Junction area

The Skyview on the west side of Presque Isle has great breakfast and all meals. If you got started early you could make it for a late breakfast/early lunch. You have to go through PI and then head west on Trail 6 right along HWY W. Open at 3pm on Wed, Thur, Fri, open at 10am on Sat or Sun.

    2/8 Manitowish, Minocqua, Rhinelander update

Had to go down to Rhinelander today, When I left Manitowish Waters at 7:30am, it was 14 degrees, all looked good but the sun was out. When I came back around 1pm the sun had taken its toll, The grade along 47 Rhinelander up to Minocqua is showing gravel and definitely took a hit, trails off in...

    Boulder Junction area

You can get to many places around the Northwoods from Boulder and they can be 50 mile trips with good places to stop. Up to Presque Isle and Manitowish Waters is 15-20 miles each way, down to Sayner 20 miles each way. Up to Bents Camp is about 25 miles each way. With your age group I would stay...

Stay on the Trail or Stay Home

Well, if we leave it to the government to get involved in our sport we might as well call it a day. Not that they aren't involved to a certain extent already but we need to keep it local in my mind, counties have proved over time in Wisconsin that they can manage it at their level for the most...

    2/6/22

2-3" of new snow here in the MW area Saturday through today. Just enough to make everything nice and white again. It was light, dry snow but we'll take it. Looks like one warm day next week at 31 degrees. Could use a nice storm to be honest but trails are pretty good considering.

    I & M Canal Trail

Nice! thanks for posting pictures. Reminds me of the first time I took my daughter on a ride. We had the luxury of riding out of our property to the trial and put about 50 miles on that day. She is a little bit of a lead foot (or heavy thumb) and on the way home she lost it pulling up to a stop...

Stay on the Trail or Stay Home

Very well articulated message, Thanks for putting it into perspective. Hope everyone can get the message out because clubs can't do it alone.

    Covid

Thank you! maybe we can all move on now. Its crazy how this has affected us all and not in a good way. I felt the same way a the start of this year, getting on with things as they were before it all started. The world needs a reset back about 25 years when we did other things besides social...

    New trucks

I totally agree with you Indy500, These young people would be smart to enter the trades, very good money to be made there. School wasn't my bag, but life has been very good to me and the experiences I've had and relationships created are invaluable. Congrats to you at 26, you are one step ahead...

    New trucks

That is crazy but I have no doubt that you could have cashed out with $82K. I believe that this house of cards will come crashing down after the interest rate hikes planned for this year. As for paying this much for used vehicles, used boats, used anything it is unrealistic for most people. The...

    Are trails being refreshed enough

I rode around BJ, Presque Isle, Lando last week, I live over in Manitowish Waters, It was good during the week, rough on the weekends. Snirty in and around the towns as you would expect it to be. We need snow (6" would put us in really good shape) but I see none in the immediate forecast. You...

    Electrical issues

I think you are on the right track with the wire that runs under the seat to the brake light or a bad switch. I had the same issue a few years ago on a Polaris.

Is it Ever Going to Snow Again?

We have been getting an inch, a 1/2", a dusting almost everyday so its enough to lubricate things. Its also been pretty cold and the trails have such a good base. we have Monday and Tuesday around 30 degrees this coming week so we'll see a little melting i'm sure but then it gets cold again...
