    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

I'm all for the extra enforcement efforts. Aside from obvious safety aspect, the behaviors that I keep reading about on various FB pages are giving us all a bad name, and most likely not committed by sober people. The recent vandalism at Lakenenland in Marquette is an example. Don't get me...

    Something to Consider

Exactly. Hand signals and lights are pretty pointless, you should always assume that there's a sled coming in the next turn because the group you just passed has no idea there's another group right behind them. I'm the same as you, I look at my mirrors all the time, and wish everyone did. Too...

A new suit for a big guy

Not sure about this one. I'm 6'2", 230lbs. I wear Klim Keweenaw 2x tall bib. I've been very happy with everything. Pricey, yes. I'm sure there's less expensive options, but it treats me well. Jackets, well I've got a collection. My current day to day wear when I'm riding is Klim bibs, Klim...

MISSOURI TOURIST OUT ON THE TRAIL

Yes, I had this issue. Couldn't snap shut all the way. I took the visor off, put it back on, and now it's fine. If you don't hear the pop, it's not aligned or something. Was driving around for awhile without it completely snapped. Still better than any other helmet I've owned.

MISSOURI TOURIST OUT ON THE TRAIL

Always someone doing what the GPS tells them instead of believing their own eyes. It's amazing how many people do this. Did your buddy get his helmet issue figured out?

    Yep...its Illinois weekend..lol

As an Ohioan, I'd never heard the term until a few years ago when I was in Wisconsin. I kept seeing these bumper stickers with the reference, so I had to call my Wisconsin friend to get the definition/explanation.

What kind of goggles are you using?

Just kidding, everyone. It's been awhile since someone asked the question. Back in the day, this question got asked almost every week to the point where it was a running gag (same with oil). Man, I miss those days.

    This is just a suggestion

I was wondering the same thing. It would be a great way to continue the site and honor John's legacy, and perhaps relieve some burden for the family.

Yep, that was a long one, I thought the fat lady was starting to sing.

    This is just a suggestion

Right on, let's keep this thing going. There's still no other place on the internet quite like it and even though some great features were lost with John, we still have this community.

    Anybody else having issues?

If Indiana can do it, anyone can do it!

    Anybody else having issues?

Hi Gary, I certainly didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. When I say ""back in the day", obviously I meant before John's passing. At any given hour, there would be a few thousand people on here (hourly). As I type, there are 282. Hence, my comment about it not being related to traffic. I was...

    Anybody else having issues?

It can't be traffic, can it? I mean, back in the day when the snow was flying, there was a few thousand of us on here every hour. Now, there's just a handful of us.

Yes, it's been awful. Thought it was my laptop, but phone was the same. Ads are terrible.

If you are heading north to ride......

That is terrible news, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm at a loss for words for you, but keep on keepin' on.

    Who's got a G8 gauge, I've got a question.

For starters, the new sled didn't come with a separate owner's manual for the G8, although I did find a Garmin Tread manual on Country Cat's website (which is where I find everything I can't find on AC's main site) but it's not snowmobile specific. My question is can you boot up the unit...

    Communicator recommendations.

In past we also had issues with communicating at speed, like the sleds were creating more interference or something (didn't seem like helmet wind noise or engine noise). What's your experience been? I've got the new G8 with group ride, but I'm the only one in the group that has it, so no...

    Communicator recommendations.

Thumbs up, thumbs down and middle fingers usually communicate pretty well. Just kidding, I'm following this thread, our group has tried a few different ones in the past, and nothing really seemed to justify the hassle of them not working or the batteries freezing up. Not to mention, we all...
