You might try the AmericInn on Sixth St. or perhaps the parking lot of the old Shopko which is now a self storage facility just before the AmericInn at the Mine Street Station. That lot is pretty large & the trail out is nearby.

I saw a couple of sleds doing test laps, but not a lot going on, what happened? Track too scetchy? Looked like some sporatic ocassional light flurries but nothing to write home about.

Holy crap! that has to be a gut wrenching nightmare! At least he was somewhat prepared, but I'll bet he didn't sleep well for a couple of days. Lesson learned, despite what any app may say, when in doubt, don't. He is a very lucky guy..... Maybe he should have gone to Utah with you instead.

Looks like beautiful conditions, blue bird skies, lots of pow, good friends, no wrecked sleds, no injured soles. It doesn't get a whole lot better than that. That is what sledding is all about.

I've been a fan of adding toppings to the Jacks for some time, especially if I can't find the one I am looking for. Extra cheese & pepperoni, green pepper, onion, you name it....... I too am old enough, sort of sadly, but, I use to love Tombstone. Unfortunately they are not the same as they use to be. Jacks are OK, Lotzza Motzza is pretty darn good, Debaker Farms make a real good one as well, though I don't know how far they are distributed, they are a family owned U.P...
