I believe it was the winter of 79/80. Lived between Marquette and Munising on M28 on Lake Superior (about a mile from Lakenenland). What is now trail 417 was still abandoned rails then. Hopped between the rails and took off towards Marquette until I ran into an abandoned switch. Fortunately only...
Thank you guys! Kept a low profile but within ear shot of the wife all day. After her last couple weeks of creating a Christmas Explosion throughout the house she moved on to her Cookie making Explosion…
It is a skill I completely lack and my father had, it just fascinates me. I was too wired as a child to learn from him in his shop. He created tools from scratch and usable items from scrap.
I am the guy that will get you a beer or hold the shop light.
Agree. Bought mine 10 years ago at a snow show while I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery. One hand is all it took to install and move around. Quality shop. Bought his pontoon Dollie’s for the boat in the pole barn this year, couldn’t work any easier..
Hopefully the dude that got hit initially is ok. He just barely appears in the video after, but I have to wonder with all the other people taking interest after. If he wasn’t, my local news would have picked it up.
Lofsfire got me thinking so I searched a couple names.
misnow14, bought my trailer in 2018 and no posts since.
snowcrazy, doesn’t show at all? I thought he was the owner of Tanglewood in Shingleton .
toolmaker or toolman, haven’t seen anything for a long time
The business I worked for was bought out in February 1999. I know was using the work computer to look at John’s forecasts. Since bouncer observed the 1998-2024, did John maybe begin the website and forecasting in 1998 while still in Chicago?
A couple months after John started the site. 96, 97, 98? I should look for my medical records when I had to start getting treatments for carpel tunnel (I was clicking over here all day long to get the latest reports).
Found John from Pasty Central. Kind of dropped looking at Pasty Central when...
I get those ugly shoes at a discount! Do I like the color choices, nope, but I am frugal 😁 and could care less how I look. In fact my snowmobile apparel was all deeply discounted and a collage of Ski Doo, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Polaris….
My Oxygen helmet is iteration 2, not a Carbon and not the SE. When I researched it a couple years ago it was thought that a SE chin skirt would work on iteration 2s but not the original Oxygen. Unfortunately there were no skirts to be had to attempt the swap and since I was always lifting the...
So sad. Their video “Anonymous- Occupy the Snow” is very entertaining. Muckwonago wasn’t far from where I lived in WI. Here I thought they were from MI. Thanks Indy..
I just crack the shield a tiny bit. Generally when I start out there is allot of heavy breathing involved.
euphoric1, are you talking about the chin skirt on the SE? I looked into getting one to add to my newer Oxygen helmet and found some will accept it and others not, so I didn’t buy it. I...
