    Honest backcountry snow review.

Me and the kids (and some friends) just spent a few days riding out in the Twin Lakes area and it's pretty darn shallow. The true backcountry is bad and we ended up mostly on the pole lines like many riders are doing. Lots of rocks and stumps but we survived without any major damage to any of...

Please be mindful of where you park.

Pike Lake road had driveways and access roads blocked yesterday. An elderly lady that lives on one of the Lakes got blocked in yesterday because someone decided this is where they were going to park their sled hauler. She had to get the police involved. The road into my cabin was completely...

My son just bought a sled, $300.

1980 Yammie Enticer. Totally gone through, new bearings in the track and new slides too. Little scuff on the corner and it's mostly been stored, 1580 miles. When I first saw it I was like, *no, not another beater* but he was just delighted and amped up, then I looked at it,....just wow. It has...

    My son lost his snowflapper.

somewhere between Dollar Bay and Mohawk. It is distinct because it has an action hero zip tied to it in homage to Nepolan Dynamite and he would like the action hero back, it only has one leg.....the flapper is of no importance. As seen here in pic the flapper is gone. Happen today. No...

    Sledheads Shootout Saturday February 8th.

South Range Snowmobile Club. Registration 8am to 10am. Races start at 11am. Free to spectate. My son will be there abusing his Phazer. ....speaking of which.... I can't be there until about 2pm so if any of you see a kid on a 2018 RMK 155 800, Black hood with a shark tooth wrap, various...

    Ditch banging. Be careful.

Some riders were hitting the trenches north of Baraga on US41 and hit a car. Lots of police and first responders there. By the tracks it looks like they were jumping the road...or trying.

Did a little shootout today. 2018 RMK 155 800 vs 1994 Tundra LT.

I didn't feel like hauling out two sleds...trailer and all that jazz so I rode my cabinmobile- ye ol Tundra. ....and it was also a 16 year punk son of mine vs his 51 year old dad....actually that's what it really was. :p We hit the woods at about noon and played follow the leader. btw, down...

So happy birthday son of mine!

I let him sleep in late. When he woke up I gave him some cryptic instructions. He was tired and even more confused which made it even better. He didn't know what was going on but he put his Shift gear on. Out in the garage(yep the garage needs a good cleaning) sat his new/used totally gone...

Assult side panel found on trail 17

My son has been driving past it for a day now and decided to bring it home. It was found on trail 17 between Boston and Highway Location rd. Specifically it's off of a Polaris Assult 800 with a Minnesota registration. It does have a small crack in it about 2 inches long.

Looking for a Ski Doo Tundra

Hey, I'm interested in a 300cc Tundra LT. I just need a go almost anywhere lighter machine like that. I have a older Tundra I just don't like not really being able to sit down comfortably. Maybe I'd be interested in a 550 or 600. And I might just buy a new one too.....
