There are 2 jam nuts on the end of the cable housing at the carb that hold it on a small plate that the cable housing goes through. Loosen the top nut just a little 1/4-1/2 turn than loosen the bottom nut all the way off until it slides down the cable. pull the cable housing up thru the hole in the bracket and slide cable out the slot. Them there is a ball/dowel on the end of the cable that needs to be removed from the carb linkage. Note it is easier to remove the ball with the linkage held wide open to release tension in cable. Also you will need to remove the air box top and air box carb boots for more room.
The oil pump should be similar...you will have to remove the carbs to get to it I believe.
Key is to not loosen the top nut or nut further on cable to much because this is your adjustments.
