so we go both of the rear shocks rebuilt and after we put the shock i the skid and the skid into the sled the track is so damn tight. It was not this way before we took it off the sled. just seeing if anyone has an idea why its like this. the sled has 8in wheels in the rear but they have always been on there so i don't know why it would be so tight. any help lmk thanks

Well, I have seen where someone got the wrong shocks back when they had them rebuilt.........unlikely but have seen it. Same shocks but they had longer shafts. Or, maybe you need to loosen the rear wheel tension.

Otherwsie I would not know....not much down there to really go wrong..........Maybe your track is kinked on the drive rollers..........unlikely though..........I would think you would know that.

I have the same sled, unless you have gotten the wrong shocks back, it should go back in without the track being tight. I'm assuming that the track is adjusted all the way loose and the track is still too tight. In that case I would pull the skid out and make sure it was assembled right and everything is functioning correctly.

well i got the sled form a guy off this site cant remember your name ill find the paper that says it tho, your form Merrill wi i picked the sled up at your buddy's house. fyi if you read this u had this sled rigger together. no springs in the ves valves, riser was broken, and steering post was cracked bad, you were missing a washer on a gear so it was grinding against the chain case. I think the problem is the previous owner did not put a offset axle in the rear for the 8in big wheels, so that's why i think its so tight and the guy b4 just ran it and did not care. im going to replace it with stock wheels and see what happens.

The problem is with the rear shock lower attach point. I bet it is flipped forward. To fix this without removing everything take the big springs out of the holders and take the pressure off the track. Then remove the upper shock bolt. You will have to use a punch. When you have it removed you can then flip the lower attach point backwards. This attach bracket is hitting the track when there is pressure on the suspension, it will run fine when you have the track off the ground. I've done this before and it took me about an hour to figure it out.
