Help i have a arctic cat t660 non turbo its 2004 with only 1000 miles .when i start it the temp light comes on and stays on ,all i did was change oil and battery .i know it sounds stupid but it did'nt come one before .is there a sensor that could be bad ?if so where would it be (by the thermostat?).would it hurt to ride it ? any advice would be helpful thanks

First thing I would check would be the antifreeze level, maybe over the summer you lost a little fluid, my light on my 06 660 would come on if it was a little low.

There is no coolant level, just temperature warning. I assume the light is on even when the engine is cool? Sensor is located on front side of thermostat housing above belt guard, 3 wires. One is input, one goes to ECM and one to temp display. You need to check the yellow/blue wire for damage/short to ground.
