05 edge 600 loading up at idle

i have a 05 ege 600 and i have heard this before but now mine is doing this,when idling for a short time and then try to take off it bogs and then takes off.has been running good then just started this.my other 700 doe not do this.carb prob?also my 03 edge touring 700 when going in reverse it just stops and wont move and can smell belt smell.then go forward and is fine?

Not sure if it's a fair comparison but my brothers 500 XC was loading up at idle and bogging like yours. He decided to take it in for a checkup after 9000 miles. I think all the dealer did is replace the carb boots and cleaned the V.E.S. valves. I don't think they touched the carbs otherwise. It runs like new now.

Try adjusting the idle mix screws((( not the speed)))

x2, back out the air screw a 1/4 turn, will lean it out a little bit, made a huge differance on mine
