First off, probably my fault for not checking sooner. Ok actually it is my fault, I am just kinda in a little bit of denial it being my fault. I did a post season inspection this year on one of my sleds. It is a 05 Renegade w/5200 miles.
I was amazed at the amount of place in the front suspension. The bushings in the a-arms where they attach to the frame were so worn that I could move the skiis almost a whole inch forward/backward. Its no wonder the sled would wander when going down the trail as compared to when new.
The sled has been in a couple of times to the dealer for a inspection and nothing was mentioned, only noticed it because I jacked up the fe so I could looked at the carbides. So I replaced the plastic bushings with oiled brass ones and the fe is now nice and tight.
I guess after 5000+ miles only having the change the hyfax, carbides, 1belt and these bushings I am doing ok. Just kinda hate to admit that I did not catch this sooner. My 06 Gade w/2200 miles is still nice and tight but will be upgraded next year to the brass bushings even if it does not need it. DEFINELTY WORTH THE $65.00 FOR THE KIT. It took about 2 hours to change them due to a few of the bolts being hard to reach.
Just a little FYI for all the REV owners out there...
