'06 700 Fusion losing coolant, performance

My '06, 700 Fusion is losing coolant and running poorly. It started this season with about 1-1.5" of coolant loss in 100 miles. There are no signs of outright leakage from this 5000+/-mile machine. This week while in the U.P., it started "dropping a cylinder" when running below 3900 rpm. Once above 4000 rpm...everything seems fine. During this 160-mile day I have also lost about 4-5" of coolant in the reservoir.

Coincidence? As far as the dropped cylinder, we have verified spark and fuel. After idling for a short while, one cylinder stops firing altogether. My injection system is producing 125 PSI fuel pressure. I have also pulled the exhaust valve and found no excessive build up (both were pulled and cleaned prior to the 2008-'09 season).

Any thoughts?

For the missing coolant, replace the rad. cap. Polaris caps are a little spendy, but one from john deer lawn mower is about half the price and the same cap.

It would seem to be obvious if it was leaking out the overflow. Have you checked out the front rad. hoses and the rad. itself? The dropped cylinder effect happens when sled is in over heat mode. That sled should have a temp. gauge in the digital instrument cluster.

'06 Fusion to polarisrider1

yeah, it's a 755 Liberty engine...and didn't see any crazy rises in temperature...after noticing the aforementioned problems...I watched it closely on the 30-40 mile trip back.
