You actually broke the shock? The shock itself is rebuild able, unless of course you actually broke the mounts or shaft. The stock shock is an ACT gas shock, I rebuilt my original & put it aside & put on a FOX Zero Pro, figuring if I need one I have one to swap out. The original part # is 1704-117 & runs about $250. Sorry I don't have a measurement & I'm not in my garage right now to do so. IMO, better off to replace with OEM or equivalent, a dealer should be able to help you with the right one.-Mezz

I will check it this afternoon when I can get out of the office & home for lunch. Holy Crap! I've never seen anything like that happen before! What else got mutilated? Shock links? Where is that bracket from? Part of the idler arm? What did you hit? By the looks of the parts, you probably have some other issues that come with this. Nonetheless, I will check the shock out for you & perhaps have a couple of pic's to include.-Mezz

Ok, here you go, the entire length of the shock is 15 7/8" (fully extended end to end) Center to Center of the eyelet is 14 1/2". I thought that piece was part of the Idler arm but couldn't be sure, again, never saw one torn off like that, was it ever greased? Should be a zerk fitting between the brackets. Here are 2 photo's of the shock for you with the tape measure next to it:
