Start the sled. All lights dim(dash/head lights). Remains dim when giving throttle. Any ideas?
Thanks

I have this sled and I just replaced my voltage regulator about a month ago. It is about a 1/2 hour job. It cost about $180-$200. It is amazing how well my hand warmers work now. I have owned this sled since it was new and I never once switched my hand warmer switch from the high setting, now after replacing the voltage regulator, I now have to adjust my settings and most of the time it is set on the lowest setting even when it is really cold out.
did you buy oem or aftermarket one dealers are saying vendor delay now . where did ya get it ? Was it a part that was relocated to belt cover . thanks for the info my sled id 400 miles away need to get it right the first time .
no one has voltage regulator looks like I wont be riding this sled again this season .. im bummed .
wonder why no one has them, is it common for them go go out?
It is very common on these sleds, that is why Polaris came out with the new one that you just bolt onto the belt guard instead of having to try and get the old one out. Probably should have been a recall. The sad thing is that they jacked up the price on the new one also.
You do not need to pull the exhaust.do you have to remove exhaust to install regulator have part on order hope to have it by next weekend
