Yup Voltage Regulator like carman said. I had this sled. They were known to go out. Easy fix, part is around $100.

I have this sled. Mine went out too. As zimmbob said, this is a very common problem and part should be fairly cheap. Make sure you buy the updated part that mounts on the clutch guard. Probably a 1/2 hour job for just about anyone. The original regulator is buried and very time consuming to replace. You just unplug the old one and leave it in place.

This is another one of those parts on that sled that Polaris upgraded (carb boots, early IQ bumpers, etc.) but should have recalled - mine screwed up a trip.

Buy two if they will give you a deal. You will probably need an extra if you plan on holding onto the machine for any length of time. Had two 06 Fusion HO's and replaced Voltage regulator 2 times in each. Thus part of the reason my screen name. Friends were tired of seeing my sled in the shop for recalls, regulators, and just gremlins. They gave me the nick name Fusionfool, it stuck.

I have this sled and I just replaced my voltage regulator about a month ago. Like stated above it is about a 1/2 hour job. It cost about $180-$200. It is amazing how well my hand warmers work now. I have owned this sled since it was new and I never once switched my hand warmer switch from the high setting, now after replacing the voltage regulator, I now have to adjust my settings and most of the time it is set on the lowest setting even when it is really cold out.
