07 Phazer Overheating

I have an 07 Phazer that will overheat while riding. The temps outside sre not warm by any means. The radiator accumulates snow and I am sure that doesnt help. I ordered a screen kit for the front of the radiator but it has not arrived yet. Has anyone else had this problem, or know if this screen kit will help. The sled is under warranty till December 11 so if it come down to it I guess I will have to take it in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't know much about these but I was told that it is common for these to be set up with the wrong antifreeze mix, which can cause overheating. Is it 50/50?

Not sure if it is all phasers but I thought I heard ice would build up in the tunnel. Basically ice would form below the heat exchanger and creat a hollow spot which would not let snow contact the heat exchanger.

does it have the radiator fan kit update? if it happens when running in deep or loose show look at the heat exchanger to see if there is ice build up,what happens is snow is thrown up the front hole and melts on y-pipe and causes build up easy fix i found was to spray some PAM (yes pam cooking spray) on heat exchanger a couple times a season and it stops. don't ask me how i found out it works. makes slides go on easy to.

X2 on this. I have 2007 Phazer, you need to close the tunnel holes and have the fan kit installed ( Yamaha installed fan for free). I did all the updates to this snowmobile, if you need anymore help let me know..

fan kit for sure, Ice forms in front of the front heat exchanger and no more cooling. I had the Phazer Mtn lite and they cam with the fan but regular phazers didn't. I think it was a poor deal from Yamaha on that sled. As far as I know you can get it for free but you may have to put up a stink unless they are manning up, I just don't remember if they have. Check out totally Yamaha web site and do a search and you'll find all the info you'll ever want there. many people had this issue and the fix is there, it's been a while since I had that machine
