We were on vacation last week on ride through out the state and i had an issue with the secondary. Took it apart when we got to the nearest town and found one of the rollers had broke in half. No dealers close - 2 hour ride. I found a small machine shop in the phone book and he machined a couple rollers for me. Can't remember the exact metal he said, but it was some kind of bronze alloy. I replaced both rollers. They turned out real nice.
They are quite a bit heavier than the stock synthetic rollers. Do any of you think the weight or using metal will be an issue? I rode another 400 miles after the replacement and everything seemed fine. Like i said i replaced both so the weight is balanced.
