08 Vector dumping gas

Have a 08 Vector. Was hard starting and dumping fuel from bottom of belly pan when I finally got it running. Also a warning light on dash. I suspect stuck float in one carb. Any other ideas? Thanks for input ahead of time. Frustrated.

Yep stuck float will do that.
Sometimes you smack the carb & float will release but still needs to be cleaned ....sounds like crap gas.

Yep. This is my own fault. Should have ran it dry. Just picked up sled last year with 150 miles on it. Not sure if it has a fuel shut off on it or not. I have the air box off but I think I will have a pro do it. I am not a carb guy. Thanks whitedust.

Unless the previous owner(s) installed them they didn't come with shutoff's from the factory. Easy to add though. I also added inline clear filters on my 05 Vector. ANYTHING to keep the pilots from clogging. Running it dry won't help either....trust me I and countless others have tried that. Best thing IMO to do is run it every 30 days during the summer.

Carbs were cleaned today and back to running perfect. Going to install the graphite strip slides and go for it. Thanks for replies and hope all have a great and safe year of sledding.
