Let's look at the possible silver lining. If we get the amount of rain forecasted locally combined with the snow melt and the frozen ground from all the extreme cold weather the past 3 weeks all the dips in the trails will fill with water and become ice Thursday night which will smooth out the trails, for if and when, we get dumped on. I know this sounds terrible but, it's looking like reality and all we can do is spin it positively. All this being said though, if we don't get dumped on before the end of January to allow trails to open in non lake effect areas, the season is a loss. We all know that in March the suns strength, even if temps are below freezing, eat away at the snow on the trails and unless we get frequent dumpings conditions aren't good.
