I'm not sure if this would help you or not, but I have a complete running motor out of a 74 or 75 Scorpion stinger. I believe it is a Ceyuna (?? spelling??) 400 cc. I trashed the chassis many years ago but saved the motor and pipe and clutch because the darn thing ran so good. I aways thought maybe I could use it for something, but of course its been collecting dust for a decade at least. I would be willing to sell the whole works if your intrested. Not sure about the stingerette. Is that a kids modle?

74 Stingerette.jpg

I seem to recall the Stingerette was marketed to the female snowmobiler with specific color and features that the ladies would be attracted to. (Remember, it's 1974. Very competitive with many mfrs. and anything to get an edge on the competition)

I'm looking for it for a riding buddy of mine, he's trying to get it back on the trail for his wife. I'll ask him about the whole works. I'll be in the chicagoland area on the 17th - 20th. What would you have to have for it, & where abouts are you in IL. I'll be in the glendale heights area. Thanks for the speedy reply.

I'm about 30 or so miles north of Glendale Heights. I don't really know what its worth. Does a buck and a half sound fair?

I've seen this guy on Vintagesleds.com alll the time. Call Chip from Conn. at 860-965-2379. I think that if he doesn't have it, he can send you in the right direction. He has purchased many old Scorpion dealer stock.

Snolover, I seen this sled last night. It has a "ccw" motor 290 cc's twin f/c. He wants to keep the "stock" motor in there. So we'll be shoping hay days this yr. Thanks again.
