1994 - 470 skidoo formula help needed

Yesterday I wanted to start it up to make sure everything was running right. Its a 1994 skidoo Formula 470. It starts up but wont idle normally. And i have to push the sled to get it to move. The engine has to be pushed to at least 5000 rpm before the track starts moving. There is a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust also, and it's loud like there is a hole in the system. I dont know much about exhaust systems, but to me it feels like it's plugged. Could that be possible? I took apart the main pipe and it appears to be open. the connecting pipe to the can is open and clear. Could it be the muffler can is plugged? I have not taken it out.

There is almost no power.

Carb Cleaning is where I would start, if it doesn't idle the jets are clogged.

It wouldn't hurt to pull the can & see if something nested in there. If all is clear, then move onto carbs & fuel system. Then check belt & clutches.-Mezz
