I own a 94 k2500 6.5 turbo diesel. Pretty much the same as the 95. There are a few minor issues with the diesel, but they aren't major imo and I like mine. The 2 major issues I can think of are:
1) The PMD (pump mounted driver) for the injection pump needs to be
relocated because of overheating the PMD (it is a solid state device)

2) The oil pressure sending unit (switch) also controls the lift pump
and will sometimes need to be replaced or bypassed as it has a
relay that controls the lift pump and the relay sometimes goes bad.

Any other questions, let me know. Also check out : http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=21

ssdieselsupply.com......walt is a very good guy and can get you thru anything. 95 should have the upgraded water pump on it but if not might want to do that. Hot glow plugs also. Since I put them in I have never had to plug my truck in. I have a 99 that had a few issues that I had to work out but after $15,000 on the truck (abount 7 years ago) and $2500 in the truck with parts from walt I got a truck that runs with my dad's 03 dodge and get's 14 m.p.g. (crew cab, 4X4, dually).

What size truck and what gear ratio. A lot of guys that own the 6.5 in the 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons are getting mid 20's out of them.
