Just wandering if anyone has has a similar problem with their truck. New radiator last spring, when that was replaced it they completely flushed out the old system to get rid of the crap inside the lines. Replaced the thermoststat 2 yrs ago. Antifreeze is good to -25. After running the truck for awhile there is a little heat but not much. Top hose will be very hot and bottom hose not hardly at all. Could it be the thermostat again? Any help would be great I'm frustrated! Drives daily but very few miles annually.

Check the hoses to the heater core. Are they both warm/hot? If one is hot and the other 'much' colder, then probably plugged heater core. If not (ie one hot, the other cool), then blend door/controls. If both are cool, then thermostat. When in doubt, I usually do the simple/easy things first - change thermostat.

My 2000 chevy has the same issue ocasionaly. Flushed the heater core and problem still happens. My old indian trick is to squeeze the heater hoses like milking a cow. And walla heat. My buddie and I figured this out after rideing 4 hours to the UP with minimal heat. The next 6 hours were much more enjoyable, heat was on high for the first two!
Anything to ride in the UP

Not being a smart alect, but did you check the anti-freeze. If it is low you'll definitly loose heat. If you do replace the thermostat do yourself a favor and but one from the dealer. They cost more but I've had more problems with aftermarket ones because they are all basically the same design. One size/kind does not fit all.
