Went on a road trip yesterday to visit Kip at Pat's. He had a track for me.
I made it out of there with out getting to stupid. No new sled orders etc. Blinders were on.
Would have hung out longer but knowing there was snow hitting Eastern UP had me a bit nervous.
On the way out of Pat's I was cruising along enjoying the scenery and all of a sudden I see Krupps. Holy crap! I forgot to turn on 38! That was quite the detour.
Of course the day I have time to make this run, a blizzard hits. I'm rolling in a VW Jetta for fuel saving purposes. Not the ideal snow vehicle. As soon as I hit Marquette on the way back, it was snowing and blowing hard. Roads were covered. Getting back to my place in the woods was interesting.
The most snow is in the Munising area. Second I would say Negaunee-Ishpeming. The view being from the car on 28 so not speaking for whats in the woods.
Another 4 inches in total yesterday and last night. Today the winds are kicking. It is like the snow has been reset. All the tracks are covered up.
You cant go wrong riding any where in the UP right now. I have not seen conditions this good in a long time. Go North if you can. It is worth the trip for sure.
