2000 Ski-Doo 600 shifting to soon and will not pull full rpm's if given full throttle

I'm certain this is a cluth issue but not sure if it's the primary or secondary. The sled runs strong but when you take off at a normal speed and start moving it will shift down while your going 5 mph. You can actually feel the shift, it's not fluent like it normally performs. Also, when you hammer the gas it acts like its overloading the transmission as it will not let the rpm's ramp up. This only happens if the track hooks up well. If the tracks slips it doesn't miss a beat like it normally would. Thoughts?

If you got over 3000 miles on those clutchs wouldn't even try to work with just one of them...pull them...clean them and rebuild them...new pucks, springs, rollers, and ramps if needed...will be worth it in the end....also how is your belt sitting in the secondary???

Sled has around 7,000 miles. I'm thinking i need to rebuild the primary. I have already went thru the secondary but not the primary. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined. I have rebuilt engines but never worked on clutches. How hard are they to work on? I don't mind doing the work but not much experience with the primary clutch.

If u have been in the motor dont worry bout the clutch....u can handel it...can always ask question on here....rollers, ramps, springs....couple bills will do it....

How did it run before going thru secondary..and how long ago was that???..maybe u need to adjust how your belt sits in secondary...maybe u put the spring in the wrong hole on the secondary???...need a little more info but with all that said 7000 on primary it has paid its due...freshen it up.

At 7000 a Doo Clutch is just broke in, CLEAN IT. Yes you will need the Clutch Tools or bring it to someone who has them and knows what there doing.
