2001 XCF 440 need piston

My sons xcf440 broke a ring and ring land on 1 cylinder and scored the cylinder. I have called multiple polaris dealers and apparently the pistons are no longer available ( hard to believe for 2001 ) can not find after markets either. anyone out there have any or have any suggestions??? The Sled is very nice with 4 K miles, its hard to believe I wont be able to repair it.
Need Help Please , anybody?
also cylinders are now steel bore ? is this original or repaired nikasil ?

The bore is Nicasil and will need to be repaired and replated. I have a 2001 with 17,000 mi. and have rebuilt it several times. Mine threw a ring at 4,800 mi. and I re ring it every 5,000 now. I put new rings in last year and had no trouble getting parts at that time.
I do have used pistons and rings if you can't find new.

I took a closer look at the cylinders and they are both original nicasil, the damaged one just has a small groove between transfer ports, not real bad. I have also located rebuilt clynders so that should not be a problem, the piston lost part of the ring land some time ago as it had carbon'd over already. the top ring must have hooked the port ( broke and missing about a 1/4" ).he piston(s) are still the problem. Garageguy, If you could part with one I would appreciate alot.

Double ring pistons , I'll have to look up the bore and stroke, I do know that it is not the same as earlier models like 98-99 xcf's.
